Terms of service
The terms on which schools and their users use Avantus.
These terms
These terms are between SDG Services Pty Ltd (ACN 664 897 429), trading as Avantus, and the school that subscribes to Avantus. By using Avantus, the school and the people it gives access to agree to these terms. Where the school has a signed agreement with us, that agreement takes priority.
The service
Avantus calculates projections of HSC marks and ATAR outcomes from the school's own results. A projection is an estimate, not a guarantee of any result. We may change the service from time to time.
Using Avantus
Everyone must follow the acceptable use policy and use their own account. The school must have the authority to give us the information it sends, set roles correctly, and remove access for people who leave.
The school's data
The school owns its data. We handle it only to provide Avantus, as our privacy policy describes.
Fees
Fees and the subscription period are set out in the school's order or agreement.
Suspension and ending
We may suspend an account that is misused, and we tell the school when we do. Either party may end the subscription as the school's order or agreement allows.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees the school paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of a projection.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. We give schools 30 days' notice of a change that matters. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales.
